Serves 4 as a side for breakfast or Dinner
Ingredients
- 1 large can of Red Kidney Beans rinsed or drained
- 1 teaspoon of canola oil
- 1- 2 clove of garlic crushed
- 2 spring onion (scallion) white stems sliced thinly
- 1/2 stalk of celery thinly sliced (optional)
- 1 jar baby pureed pears
- 3-4 strands of saffron dissolved in 3 tablespoons of water
- 1/16 -1/8 teaspoon citric acid
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon of Rice Malt Syrup

Heat oil add garlic, shallot (and if using celery) and beans to small pot and cook on medium for 2 minutes

Add other ingredients bring to the boil, then turn down low and simmer until sauce has thickened and reduced (about 15 minutes)
