Pear and Oat Slice

  • 1 small pear, peeled, cored and fine diced
  • 2 ½ cups oats
  • ½ cup plain flour or GF Flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup oat milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup, to serve
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a slice pan
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients
  3. In a medium sized jug, whisk all the remaining ingredients except for the pear and maple syrup
  4. Pour the liquid into the bowl and stir to combine. Stir through pears
  5. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until cooked when tested
  6. Remove from oven and brush with maple syrup while warm. Cool completely before cutting into slices

Optional for liberal diet add 1 Teaspoon of cinnamon
