Carob Cashew Milk

Carob Cashew Milk

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw cashew pieces
  • 2 tbsps oat flour
  • 2 tbsps The Australian Carob Co. Carob Syrup
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 4 cups spring water

Instructions

Cover the cashew pieces with water from the sink and bring to a boil.

Simmer for 30 minutes or more. Drain.

Rinse and drain until drain water is clear.

Place the drained cashew pieces into the blender jar. Add the oat flour, carob syrup, salt and two (2) cups of spring water.

Blend thoroughly until solids are broken and liquid is milky.

Add the remaining two (2) cups of water and blend or stir a little more until incorporated.

Straining is optional and not really necessary.

Place in refrigerator and chill well.

Serve cold in a glass as a drink, or pour over cereal/ muesli, coffee, etc.
