1. Creamy White Sauce (Failsafe-style)

  • Ingredients: Ghee or Nuttelex, rice milk, gluten-free flour, a pinch of salt
  • Optional: Add finely mashed white sweet potato or swede for thickness
  • 👉 Toss pasta in the sauce and serve warm

Why it works: No amines, no glutamates, no herbs or spices—bland and comforting

If you wish to add herbs, stick to chives or small amounts of parsley.


2. Mashed Veg Sauce

  • Cooked peeled potato or swede, blended with rice milk and a touch of oil or ghee
  • Can be pureed to a smooth consistency and tossed with the pasta
  • Optional: add a small amount of poached, finely shredded chicken (fresh-cooked only)

Why it works: Root veg are generally low in food chemicals when peeled
