Sweet Potato and Lentil Patties (S)

Serves 4


  • 2 cups of cold or leftover ORANGE SWEET POTATO (S) (1)
  • 1 cup of brown lentils (canned drained and rinsed)
  • 1-2 Spring onion sliced thinly (2)
  • Salt for seasoning
  • Rice flour
  • Canola oil or other suitable for frying


1 Blend together mash, lentils, and spring onions and season with salt

2 Shape into 6 patties

3 Coat each pattie with rice flour (thin coating)

4 Shallow fry in oil


(1) For less salicylates, swap half the sweet potato for plain mashed white potato

(2) for low fodmaps use green part of spring onion only.
