For this snack you will need
- 2 thin Sunrice rice cakes (or other suitable brand)
- 2 teaspoons of homemade cashew butter or suitable store brand cashew spread (e.g. Macro Cashew Spread available from Woolworths or Melrose Cashew Spread from Health food shops)
- 1/2 teaspoon of pure Maple Syrup (not imitation)
For a strict food intolerance diet limit to 1 serve of the maple cashew spread.
Optional – omit maple syrup and instead spread one rice cake with Brown Rice Syrup and the other rice cake with up to 2 teaspoons of cashew butter/spread – join together and enjoy. (note some rice syrups may contain ingredients that contain gluten)
