Long thin and straight with flat bulb, not round.

Shallots and Spring onions often get confused – I still confuse them, and there may be some disparities in some of the recipes. For low chemical (salicylate, amine and glutamate) – we are referring to the long thin green shallots with a straight bulb. For low fodmap only use the green tip.
